Dhapewada village is a one of the the best village of Kalameshwar, Nagpur. It is famous for vithal mandir, known as vidharba's pandharpur. Dhapewada is located/situated on the bank of Chandrabhaga river. Dhapewada is being known as Vidarbha's Pandharpur.
The three days of 'ekadashi' and 'poornima' attract crowds from all over Vidarbha. “The belief is that Lord Vishnu stays in Pandharpur on 'ekadashi' and reaches Dhapewada on 'poornima'. Therefore, a large number of devotees arrive here on full moon days." Leading a group of devotees who perform 'wari' or visit this place every year, over the years, the crowd has increased but the installations have only shown up.
Since Dhapewada temple is similar to Pandharpur, we too should start 'wari' here on 'ekadashi'. 250 men and women are currently traveling to Dhapewada from the city. It takes them twelve hours to cover the distance, while it takes three hours to Kalmeshwar.
The temple is known as Swayambhu Vitthal Rukumani Devasthan, also known as Prati Pandharpur. On this auspicious day of Aashadhi Ekadashi, we all bow down to Lord Vitthal and Rukmini. No matter how enthusiastically we wanted to participate in the "Pandharpur Wari" tour, we had a busy schedule and deadlines. About 5 km from Adasa Ganesh temple and has good access.
The temple is not big but it is very clean. The beginning of this temple is the locals and villagers who perform bhajans and kirtans and it feels good when you hear it. The temple is famous among the locals and is well maintained. Can spend the whole day on the banks of Chandrabhanga river. A great place to enjoy a family picnic.
Dhapewada Lake is 8km from Ramtek and 60km from Nagpur. Khindsey Lake is another beautiful water body set amidst the green stretch of the Ramtek hill. This place is an ideal picnic spot.
